这是南京大学2008年考博英语试卷中的中译英内容：
1．科学技术是第一生产力。振兴经济首先要振兴科技，只有坚定地推动科技进步，才能在激烈的竞争中取得主动。我国经济正面临加速发展，调整结构，提高效益的重大任务，尤其需要全社会提高科技意识，多方面增加科技投入，真正依靠科技进步。
Science and technology are the first production capability. Revitalizing science and technology is above all to revitalize the economy. Only by push forward the science and technology can we have an active advantageous position in the fierce competition. Our country’s economy is facing the great important task of accelerating development, adjusting the structure and improving economic performance, so it needs especially for the whole society to improve the science consciousness, to increase the investment of science and technology in many aspects and to rely on the progress of science and technology.
2．世界知识产权组织为一政府间组织，总部设在瑞士日内瓦，它是联合国系统下的许多专门机构之一，它负责通过国际间的合作促进世界知识产权的保护。知识产权包括两个主要部分：工业产权和版权。当前，知识产权的保护工作应该引起我们特别的重视。
World Intellectual Property Organization is an agency among governments, with its headquarter in Geneva of Switzerland. It is one of the many specialized agencies of United Nations and is in charge of promoting the protection of world intellectual property through international cooperation. Intellectual property includes two main parts: industrial property and copyright. At present, the protection of intellectual property should be our particular attention.
